I put the key into the ignition and the car sounds like its dead, a hesitation and then itll start up but it feels like it doesnt want to. Any one what this may be?

Im not understanding your question fully but it sounds like a bad battery or cables. Make sure the cables are clean and tight. If you have a cheap voltmeter you can measure the voltage across the terminals it should be no less than 12.6 volts engine off and 14.6 with engine running and loads off. But check the cables first and post back.

I took the battery to get checked came out it needs to be replaced. Will one from Autozone, Advance, etc. be ok or where should I buy one from? any good suggestions?

If you are near Pomona California I can help get you a battery for cheap. It can also be maybe your starter or alternator. If you take them off I can test and rebuild it for you at low cost.
