does anyone know if 92 have a sub o2 sensor? if yes, then i guess it was cut off a while back when i replace my cat.
My car only has the two o2 sensors near each exhaust manifold. If your car is from California it most likey also has/had a sensor after the catalytic convertor.
My 92 SC300 from california did.

I've never heard of a "sub" 02 sensor!

Thanks for the nfo. So basically, because the engine is only in two american cars, for only two years, 92-93, there's so few in junkyards that its actually cheaper AND easier to get from japan import engine places?

Aye! And check out this little bit of info about our beloved engine here. The 2nd to last paragraph confirms this as well.

Very nice!

yeah but the one thing that no one seems to be able to tell me is how do I get this 94+ performance on my engine if it's the 'same' mechianically?

"the 1992-1993 engine has 185 hp (138 kW) at 5800 rpm and 189 ft·lbf (256 N·m) at 4600 rpm. 1994+ have 200 hp (149 kW) at 5800 rpm and 204 ft·lbf (277 N·m) at 4600 rpm. There is no mechanical difference in the engine"

since u all are just getting to know me, i assure you i have accurate software and the performance numbers increase to a healthy acceleration with those numbers. it goes3/10 faster in 1/4 and .4 faster 0-60 and top speed increases 4 mph . i do not know why everything came out to 4, very weird. anyway my last car was like this[the better rate of accel that is possible with this 94 engine] so I hope to find out how to make this es 300 do that

"The power spread of the 3VZ-FE is wide, having 100% torque at just 2500 rpm - 4600 rpm, with power trailing off by 6000 rpm. Stock redline is 6850 rpm, and the ECU's fuel/ignition cut is over 7000 rpm. The valvetrain was designed for no float over the stock programmed operational range."

so to what engine is that referring? 92,93 or 94+? very vague

You can get 200 horses just by advancing the timing and leaning out the air flow meter.

That's exactly what I was thinking, but you're confirming my suspicions.
