CarPC V2
As some of you already knew, I took out the CarPC when i wanted to sell the car 2 months ago. Now that i've decided to keep the car, I wanted to put the CarPC back so i just took this weekend to reinstall it. But this time I wanted to put the PC in the trunk instead of under the seat so I had the pleasure of taking out the rear seats and running the damn wires to the trunk.
Didn't take any pics during the process cuz it was raining
Well here's some of the pics i took after the install:
Mounted the USB hub on the side with velcro
Logitech V200, excellent wireless mouse, and my stylus/pen/laser pointer/LED Flashlight
Taking out the rear seat was alot easier than i thought. For the bottom cushion, there's only 3 clips holding it so you just pull straight up. For the back cushion, there's 2 12mm bolt, one on each side and the rest are clips. You just slide the seats straight up.
The 2nd GEN trunk is a nightmare to work in. I had to climb inside to do all the wiring and mounting.
The CarPC is held up by velcro
Took advantage of having the seats out, brought it inside to clean and condition with lexol.
The result....not bad eh?
It looks easy but there's actually alot of labor hours involved. It was a real pain in the a$$ doing all this on a rainy weekend but what the heck, I'm so happy to have my computer back!

wow..i like that..very clean..dang..that control **** for the carpc is huge! its bigger than i thought..makes it kind of hard to integrate it into the car so clean..im plannin on gettin one of those too..but still unsure of how to integrate it to look smooth and stock..what kind of screen is that? and you should get more pix..and judging by the size of your screen and your climate control..it looks a whole lot bigger than i thought..so i wont be able to integrate the es300 into my sc300..i wonder if the 97 one would fit..and how well that would integrate
