Just stopped by my local Lexus dealer and they do not recommend mounting my almost perfect 2000 IS 300 rims on my '98 ES 300 <even though we have pics of other Es's with them on>- They'll install them but will write "not responsible for damage rims may incurr" on the receipt. Now I'm stuck with a set of 4 with the spare and all have 90% tread. (215/40/17 Potenza)
Ebay- here I come!

The offset isn't correct for the ES300. Think about it...the ES is a FWD and the IS300 is a RWD. Different offsets. Yes, they may fit...but you will probably run into problems with the tire hitting the fender or inside the well. You could use spacers...but that's not a good idea.

You all have valid points and I appreciate you posting them. I will post pictures ( as I have tons of them, because they were the most awesome set of FIVE alloys I could get my hands on!) in the next few days!
Thanks again!

The rims will fit no doubt...but you are only going to cause more problems in the long run...i.e. adding unwanted stress to your axles, hubs and also the bolts on the hub.
