Default Headlight condensation question

I have a 2005 ES330 that a bought a couple of months ago and when I run it through a hands free car wash I have condensation inside both front headlights that lasts for a good four days or so. It goes away faster if I put some tin foil over the lights with them on to heat it up.
My dealer says to bring it to him and he will have it washed for free at the dealership, but this is a pain.
He does seem to agree that this may be warranty replacement thing, but he sure does not want to get serious it with me. Does anyone have experience at getting Lexus to replace the headlights because of this issue, it is still under warranty.

So first off welcome to CL and post up some pics please. About your headlights I don't know if they are under warranty but it can be easily fixed by baking and resealing them with a silica pad in them.

I don't think it's necessary to bake them if you just use RTV silicone on the outer lining. I did that and it worked for me.

Telling you to wash the car at the dealership seems like a pretty lame solution to me. If water is getting into the lights and the car is still under warranty, then he should be fixing the problem for you, not beating around the bush with a solution that really does nothing at all to resolve it.
If you do as he suggests, then you will not only still have improperly sealed headlights, but swirl marks on your paint as well...

Per your owners manual, Condensation in the headlamps is normal. It is only a problem if there is standing water in the bottom of the light housing.

I agree, moisture is a problem in the headlights! If you are still under warranty, have the dealer correct the problem. If not, than the baking method is the only way to go. A little bit labor intensive to R/R the headlights but a pretty easy fix. If you are into a custom look, while you have the headlights out and have baked them to the point that the seal is soft, split the lights open and paint the non reflective portions of the headlights black for a real custom look! It looks awesome!
