omg.... thats a little much... i just replaced my engine and the mounts were fine except the passenger side mount... attached to the right strut... need to replace that one... but cost like $25.... the other mounts hold up the engine and i am guessing the labor needed to replace those would cost the $600.... but thats still a little much.. i would look around first... btw... on my 93', there are only 3 mounts.... so they want to replace all of the engine mounts... thats not something usual... do you beat on your lexus... like race with it...or rev it up a lot and go fast... that would ruin the mounts fast...

oh... i know that...but thought he was just talking about the engine mounts.... am i right about them not going that often... because mine is a 93' and the mounts seem pretty good.... ???

if its anything like the rear engine mount that connects through a bracket which goes through the passenger axle, id have someone else do it. omg that thing is a PITA for the mcv platforms.
the rest is really simple, that is if you worked on cars and used tools before.

anyways i went to one of my dad's friends auto shop.
just the part only was 480. to replace 2 motor mount and 1 transmission mount.
total including the labor =$650. other places were asking 860s+
with the money im saving. i got myself a set of 18" black rim with chrome lips with low pro tires for 280.

mounts are rubber.
rubber parts on cars = 10 years tops so ya you probably need new mounts (engine & suspension) bushings, strut covers & CV boots. but noone is counting.
all engine related mounts but the rear mount are fairly easily changed.
pbbnxiltae - the dumbass is trying to replace the KYB engine strut along with the mounts. the mounts are cheap as sin. $250 would buy them all NIB at a toyota dealer without the engine strut dampener. or you know... $150 for chinese mounts on ebay... anything new is better than anything old.
The rear mount is what drives labor up. it has the passanger half-shaft running through it which must be removed to replace the mount.

Yea, we had replaced the "dogbone" engine mount, and the front engine mount needed replacement as well. But we sold the ES since well, it has getting to be a handful in terms of repairs.
