Unhappy Need Advice on Steering Vibration once up to speed

I just recently got my 97 ES 4 new tires, balance and alignment, when I got the car back they told me they noticed some vibration in the steering when the road tested the car. Obviously on the previous set of tires I did not have this problem. But at around 50-55mph my steering wheel will start shaking a bit, More so when I let off the gas around that speed, and seems to be present when speeding up past 60 or so. I haven't gotten it up to highway speed yet, but most my driving consists of City driving anyway.
They also mentioned to me I needed new brakes all around, but I was planning on doing that myself anyway. They couldn't give me any explanation why the vibration is occuring besides telling me that a Brake job would probably fix it or whatever. Is this true?
I'm basically trying to figure out where this Vibration is coming from. It's annoying me, and doesn't feel that all so safe when im in that range of speed.
I just got in 4 Brembo blanks, and waiting on the Hawks HPS pads,
but for some reason my rear discs indicates Toyota and has this reference #42431-06020
Anyone know if this is the correct part #?

I also have that shaking when driving at the 50-65 mph range.. I've installed new rotors, brake pads, new tires, put in KYBs all around, still getting the slight vibration of the steering wheel.

Installing the brake pad improved the stopping, but not the vibration. After going through the posts, looks like the only other thing to try is changing the sway bar links.. But that will have to wait til spring.. Spending too much $$ for me this year..

Let the people that did the alignment/balancing do a re-balance. Did you buy a premium tire? If not, sometimes they can't do a proper balance.

Happenes to me..around 65-75 mph, ever since i got the is rims on.
I got new tires, replaced one (very) bent rim, and they are all balanced now
I'm guessing the bent rim cause my suspension to go unaligned
Its really annoying me right now...I don't feel like speeding anymore either lol...

i doubt it was dangerous, my dads old ford taurus vibrated so bad at time on the highway that ur arm would go numb from holding it for a long time...

and what was funny is that the dealership said multiple times that they couldnt fix it and that it was normal vibration. gotta love american cars

Try re-balancing them, if that doesnt work then its probably your brakes. When you get vibrations occur at high speeds then its usually not balancing because the speed tends to balance the wheels itself. Most likely its your brakes.

Yea that vibration thing is a p.i.t.a My cv's were messed up and had to change them. Then they were not vibrating as much. But then I noticed that at 45-55mph, theres this rattle and vibration. It's so annoying. And I need an alignment and tire rotation.

Sorry, this statement is totally incorrect. The main purpose in balancing wheels is to correct the vibrations at high speed!

Thanks for everyones input. I would assume they balanced the tires when put on, plus I saw new weights on the inside on my wheels which should indicate they did. 1 of my rims has a slight bend on the lip, but probably far from creating my vibration problem. It was bent before I replaced my tires and it never created this vibration.
I ordered my Brembo rotors and Hawks HPS pads, but they sent me 2 sets or Rear pads. Obviously a mistake on their part, and they messed up another part of my order. Long story short I will never order from this company again.

I'll go for a new balance tommorrow at a different Shop, and ask a few questions. Probably in a week or two when my other pads come in, I will do a 4 wheel Rotor and pad change, and flush the brake fluid with some Dot 4.

The Lexus driving experience sucks when your car is shakin like this

check the ball joints as well, if they're worn that could be a reason for the vibration.

I have the same problem right now, but along with the steering wheel vibrating, I can feel short bursts of vibrating in the floor. I read other threads and alot of people are talking about replacing either the steering rack bushing or the whole steering rack. You should check out those bushings.

If your using aftermarket rims, You may need Hubcentric rings to properly align the wheel to the hub to reduce vibrations.

Well just to update this post, I never did get my tires rebalanced.
I did though end up changing my front pads with some Hawks HPS
and new Rotors, Brembo blanks, all replaced myself, total time up on jacks was about an 1.5 hrs, pretty quick if you ask me. No horsing around so I think thats why it went fast.
Anyway once I replaced these 2 pieces all previous vibration and shuddering has been completely eliminated.
I don't know how but its all GONE
haven't even rotated them front to back yet either. the tires I mean.
And everything rides perfect again.
Thanks for everyones input.
My Lexus finally rides like shes suppose to.
Next up 19" rims go on.
