Default v6 dodge magnum vs 97 es300

this kid i know wants to race and he has a v6 magnum. im not sure if its the 3.5 or 2.7 liter. i looked it up on the dodge website and the 2.7 has 190hp and the 3.5 has 250. the curb weight of a magnum is roughly 3800lbs.

mine is completely stock. u think i have a chance against either one?

Street racing kills. Get smart use your head, not your gas pedal.

Why do you bother with street racing like this? I like driving cars, but this kinda stuff is stupid.

Yeah, I quit street racing when I turned 17... If you wanted to drive dangerously, You should have bought a Sports car, Not a Luxury car.

I'm wondering if you've nailed it. As the used ES values are low enough to make them first cars for 16-18 year olds, we'll see younger membership doing what comes natural at that age with cars - racing?

I bet there are some very disillusioned young'uns who were initially thrilled at the idea of owning/driving a Lexus, who're soon disappointed with its stock performance characteristics and its paucity of upgrade bolt-ons (in comparison to Hondas for contrast).

Having had several more performance-oriented cars previously I know I was shocked and a little frustrated that I couldn't improve the 0-60 and 1/4 mile times much without considerable expense with a turbo.

Having said all that, I think it's pretty consistent and predictable that we'll have more of the racing challenges and threads as time goes by and values go down. I think the other models will, or do, experience the same thing as well.

Great words. I bought my car for Luxury, and Comfort. I dont ever drive more than 10 mph over the posted limit. If I wanted to go fast, id get a car like I had in my younger days. Oh but i do miss my Taurus SHO

Very nice Slooooooow. And I believe a while ago you said that nothing makes you feel better than rolling through the streets at a slow speed in your ES. And I can't agree more, this is such a grand Luxury car and you truly can't get the effect flying down a public street at 80 mph.

don't do it, ull give young people like me who want to drive lexus a bad name lol, and slooooooow you are right, its like the sc, a bunch of teenagers are buying em them when they can't afford to maintain em, they just ruin em, real shame, but anyways, tell your friend to go to a funeral home in his herse and enjoy the fact that your in a lexus sedan, while hes in a dodge, besides, racing in an es isn't exactly the coolest thing lol

Im 16 and suprisingly i dont see the point or the fun of street racing. No matter who wins what is accomplished? Your still the same person and one of your cars if faster...cool. I have more fun cruisin through the shore towns in the summer nice and slow with the windows down and the system up. When ricers pull up and rev i just smile to myself knowing i beat them without even racing them.
