Alright, i know this is going to sound like a rediculous question to alot of you but how do you replace the wiper blades? I tried for a good amount of time to take the old blades off of my 99 but just couldnt figure it out. Granted i had low patience in the 25 degree wether outside here. I looked in the manuel and theres no instructions. Am i missing something obvious? I would hardly consider this to be something you would have to pay someone to do.

Pull up on the wiper arm (preferably the driver side, easier to get to) in an upward motion, keeping the wiper pressed against the windshield. This will put your wipers in winter mode and allow you to pull your wiper arms out to clear the hood without scraping.
Hope this helps, and you can check out this in your user manual too.

What I do first to replace my blades is I turn the ignition key on and turn the wipers on so they are sweeping across the windshield and then turn the key off again while the blades are at their most vertical position. Then I can bend the arm outward at the joint, away from the surface of the windshield, so working on the blades is much easier.
I'm not sure if the wiper arm on the '99 is the same as on the '93 (my year) but probably is. The wiper arm has a U-shaped hook on it at the end that the blade assembly fits in to. You'll first need to find the locking tab on the blade assembly that keeps it locked in place on the arm. It's sometimes difficult to tell exactly where it is, but feel around with your finger around the area where the blade assembly and the arm connect to each other and you should be able to press something "springy" with your finger in that area. Once you've found the locking tab, press and hold it to unlock the blade and at the same time try to move the blade assembly down and away from the hook end of the wiper arm. It might take a bit of gentle pressure to disengage the blade assembly from that hook, but it should come loose ok. your new blade should then snap into position on the arm by reversing the process.
IMPORTANT: Don't try to force anything to move if it doesn't want to move relatively easily.
If you still can't get the blade assembly separated from the wiper arm, you might have to give in and take it to a shop and have them do it for you. A bit of $$ spent to do that is better than potentially damaging your wiper arm or motor...which probably would cost a whole lot of $$$ to fix.
