Default Ground Control Sleeve Coilovers

I found some GC sleeve coilovers online here
http://optionsauto.com/prodinfo.asp?number=GC-8053.01
I didn't know that there was an application that existed for our chassis. I know these where popular amongst the Honda crowd, wondering if anyone here has any experience or opinions on these.
Are they worth it to save a few hundred?
I'd change the struts to the tokicos for more stable handling.
Do these sleeve overs change the camber or toe?

do NOT do it. i insist, do not do it. youll regret in. first off, they're just sleeves. they will lower the vehicle. but they will blow your stock struts. and any struts for that matter. youll have horrible handling. and did i say that youll blow your struts. my buddy didnt take my advice on hs 96 prelude, with less than 60k on it. it blew every shock within 1 week. 1 week. and he just changed out the spring. i bet if he did GC sleeves, it wouldve been blown in 1 day.
Charley
PS. dont do it.

I here some good and some bad about Sleeves in general, mostly bad, but for some reason people with the GC say there pretty good since they do come with eibach springs.
Bounce is what I seem to hear is the problem with inferior sleeve overs.
Anyone else care to share?

i've rode in a g20 with gc sleeves w/ kyb agx adjustable struts and it's just extremely stiff. But in our cars, i dont think any company makes a strut that would handle those sleeves.

GC's are for tuner cars... not for luxury cars

go with Tein SS Coilovers, if you want an aggressive drop with great ride quality... i have mine dropped to the maximum in the front and half inch to maximum in the rear. i love my aggressive drop, i wish i could be able to go lower, as currently im only tucking about an inch all the way around!

don't do it...the headaches you go through and the money you will invest in trying to make it work is not worth it. There are no aftermarket shocks that will handle those ground controls for an ES300/MCV20 chasis. Honda owners usually get good results from ground controls w/ custom spring rates paired with some expensive shocks such as koni yellows. That setup alone will run at least 600ish if not more.

Do yourself a favor and go through one of the vendors on the boards such as Carson Lexus. PM them and they will give you a hell of a deal on JIC coilovers or Tein coilovers for your car. You'd be surprised at the prices they give you. Do it right the first time so you don't have to shell out double the money in the end. Just my opinon.
