Self-leveling isn't much of a problem as long as your headlights aren't aimed too high. Some cars equipped with factory HID don't have self leveling motors. It is just an extra safety feature.

If I'm not mistaken, Acuras, in particular, don't have auto-leveling but don't quote me on that. Also, I agree with 3000 that a retro is always best. Best output and safety.

And i wouldn't recommend any color temp over 6000k....If i could do it over again, I would pick 4300 or 5000K.
That shouldn't be a problem since its plug and play/lower wattage 
effects on OEM wiring and headlight casing

^The real effects of HID happen on startup where it draws more current than halogen lights do. It is lower wattage than halogen lights but when you first turn your lights on, it can be a problem over time. That's why a wiring harness is always recommended on cars that don't come stock with HID. They might not be wired to take the load when the ballasts are first fired up.

ok, i got another question now. I was looking around CL and saw that someone had a 97 ES300. They took the Factory HID Headlights from a 00-01 ES300 and put in on the 97. Can tat work instead of gettin a plug and play HID kit? Also is it the same for the tail lights?? Just take them off another ES and they work fine?

^^ I've read that those who have done the OEM HID swap into their 97-99's have had to do some trimming of the radiator support in order to fit the headlights. As for the taillights, it is just a swap with no modifications needed.
