I was changing the air filter and while doing so, I look at the throttle body. It was completely dirty as a 170K engine would have. So I decided to clean it out with carb cleaner. Great idea, now it looks nearly new. I turn the car on and the idle jumps to 1500 rpm and settles at about 1200-1250. After ****ting my pants alittle, I think to myself, the Idle Air Control Valve probably got gunk in it from the cleaning.
I take out the IACV to clean, put back and nothing changes. I buy another IACV, nothing. There was no check engine. I take out the EFI fuse, nothing. Take out both pos and neg. battery cables for over 30 mins, nothing. Feeling outraged, and pissed off because it has to be something logical.
Surfing the internet I find on a camry forum someone who had the same exact problem. His solution came from adjusting the TPS sensor. I gave it a try and what do you know it solved the problem. Most likely I believe maybe when I was opening the butterfly/TB plate I let it snap close by itself and might have thrown off the TPS sensor. Or possibly the ECU scratched it head and went to a default of some sort.
Just put this out there, incase someone runs into the same problem.

There are two screws, one on top and on the bottom. You must use a stuby screw driver due to clearance of hitting the firewall, unless you prefer taking out the throttle body. The screws will be on there alittle tight due to probably never being taken out and enduring the heat in the engine bay. I highly suggest using a good quality screw driver.
This is not my car in the picture, but it is the best pic on the web I could find. Shown on the picture is a red box over the tops sensor.

It was cold at 1500 and warm at 1200-1250. I drove like this for about a week trying to figure out anything I could from low coolant, binding cables, reseting ecu, IACV, checking electrical connections, voltage.......
I have been driving for over a week after the adjustment of the TPS sensor and everything is fine, idle in Park is at about 850-900, idle in drive is at about 750. TPS sensor it is.
