Default new here, saying hi & got a question

I'm new here, just wanted to say hi to everyone. I have been hanging around on toyotanation but not here that much other than looking at all the NICE pictures. Now I have an easy question for you:

I need to replace the hood support (the pressure support) on step dad's 1996 ES300. I searched this forum but came out with nothing but the price of the support. I was able to find a set for about $40 shipped online. Is it pretty simple to replace these? Just unbolt & bolt? I don't want him spend +$100 with the money-thirst dealer on this simple thing. Thank you.
