it is, but i would never drive that thing in the winter, first of all i woudn't want to, the car has never even seen rain, lol second, its a rear wheel drive v8 and im sure you know that in the winter, its not the best car ever. along with gas, insurance, and the price for anything that does break, well i coudn't afford it. so until a certain point and time, the es will be my daily driver, i hope you understood what i said lol

Probably not the best idea to start modding your ES when you don't have much knowledge about it in the first place.
And you wanted to put a 2JZGTTE in it!! Man, that's what I would have done when I bought it if it was a "RWD".
That's why the SC is there :P

Hey, when you talk about "the power of a windom" it only refers to windoms, not a motor found outside of a windom. And when you use that phrase, you gotta support the motor of the windom... because that sounded like you didn't even like what motor it had, you threw in the 2JZ, which has nothing to do with a windom.

my idea is that u can put the 2jz in the trunk to power the rear wheels keepin ur old motor for the front wheels and then u can have a sweet awd es with all the money u made in the pharmasudical business.

HEMI Rules!
I'm gathering parts to speed up my 96 ES.
No point going to all that work just to install a little six cylinder (although that 6 does kick butt, it is no match for a blown stroker hemi) So far I have a 558 inch Chrysler Hemi crate motor, and ordered a GMC 851 supercharger taylored for the motor. Not sure how to fit everything together, but I love my ES and always wanted a big HEMI... should be over 1500 HP... expect low 9 second 1/4 mile over 160 mph in street trim!
Boyd Codington is going to build it... said biggest prob will be to comply with my wishes to keep it stock looking, to hide the parachute and wheelie bars, etc. but he is looking forward to the challenge. Also, we talked about morphing the ES with a 57 Chevy fin and front sheet metal with a 67 Corvette hood scoop to hide the blower. ( I owned a 65 Vette when I was a kid and like the classic style of the 57 that I always wanted but never got).
Hmmm... Lexus Chrysler Chevy... Guess that E in ES will stand for Eclectic
