Default Quick Question, I just wanted to clear something up

Do you put seafoam into the oil right before you change it, or do you put it into a new fresh oil change?

I've been getting conflicting answers, one saying to put it in right before you change your oil, and then another saying put it into the new oil.

You should put it in with your OLD oil. Let it run and change it out.

Thanks Rollin, that's what I thought too, but how sure are you on this?

The reason why I ask is because on Phoenex's How To seafoam guide it said to put the stuff in with FRESH ENGINE OIL.

Well this is how I see it.

I would not want that stuff in my engine for 3-5k miles.
All I would want it to do is clean my engine oil and flush it out asap. ( I did drive it hard for a good 10 mins with the stuff in my engine)

I just seafoam'd yesterday and did as I said.

I think you should ask Phoenix his reasoning for this. He has great knowledge in cars. Come back and tell us what he said if you choose to ask him
