The front seats in my car are fading in some places. I think it might be that the protective layer has worn off. I wanted to know how much some new seats for my car might cost.

Sorry, but I´ll try to get some pictures up tomorrow and if anyone could give an estimate on some new seats it would be really helpful.
Also I was wondering if seats for a previous generation ES would work.

I would buy replacements on ebay...there are some seats coming from low mileage cars in good condition that you could swap out.
id would personally just buy the spare seats now, and swap them out in a couple of years when the seats are torn/faded and cracked.

I have the same interior color/same year car as well. do some parts of the leather have a greenish tint and did Lexus ever repair the leather?
On some parts it looks like the clear coat has worn off, and the color coat has started to crack, but on other pictures it looks like theres also some discoloration.
When my parents got the car in 03, there was a small defect in the leather (some dust on the passenger seat was embedded under the color coat) and had Lexus repair it, but over the years, the repair area turned greenish and plasticy.
Possibly UV degradation of the pigment. All the other seats are fine though.
I think purchasing used seats from ebay would be a good idea, and then using your current seat covers until they rip or crack too much, and you can just swap out the unused seat covers in.
