I checked my dash, it has 3 lights 'Trac', 'Car on top with 2 S line' and 'VSC'. And only have 1 push on/off switch for the Traction control.

Only happened 1time, when the VSC kicks in, it have Beep beep sounds for warning

bensonc, what year is your car?

i was led to believe our 2000 ES300 Platinum Edition has stability control. I know we have a TRAC OFF button. Someone needs to separate these two, so I'll do it:

TRACTION CONTROL is a system that detects individual wheel slippage and does not allow the wheels to spin without traction.

VSC is a system that ensures the car stays on its intended path when the computer detects that the car is drifting from where the driver is trying to point it - this would kick in and straighten out the car if you looked down for a moment, looked up, realized you had to jerk the wheel to the right to stay on the road; the car would help you do that.

Supposedly this car (my 2000 ES300) has both but i can't remember seeing any "VSC" light?

FWIW, you can usually turn off a traction control system but you can't turn off the VSC.

thanks happy..that gauge set is more like mine, w/ engine temp on the left.

still wondering if the 2000 coach edition is different from the plantium...? and wondering if VSC was still a feature on the platinum even if i'm not seeing lights or buttons to turn it off.

happy, dyou also have a "trac off" button?

I really not sure the different between Coach and Plantium, my friend has a Touring edition and the only different we found was the wheel and front bumper.
