Hello all,

I bought an 05 ES330 (used certified) and now trying to understand how to turn rear parking sensors ON/OFF. The sales man who sold this car at the lexus dealership has no clue and tried to contact their service dept but no luck.

Please help!

They turn on when in reverse and off when your not.

Thanks for the response.
We tested it in reverse gear and tried to take the car as close as possible to a big wall and nothing happened. i meant no beep or any other indication on dash board.
So i wasn't sure if we should turn it ON or not. If yes, how?

if it didnt work, There is something wrong with it. possible bad fuse? It does in fact have the reverse parking system?

I didnt know it was an option on the 05's.....

There's an easy way to tell. Look for little round circles in your rear bumper. If you are having a hard time figuring out what I'm talking about, post a pic of the rear bumper and we can tell you whether or not you have parking sensors.

I have an 2006 ES330 and there are no parking sensors on the ES330. Its not even an option on these cars. The new ES350's do have them though.

Yes, it does have the parking sensors. There are 4 small circular shaped sensors on the rear bumpter. Looks like they are broke. I guess they weren't factory installed because the lexus database doesn't show them. The previous owner might have installed them outside.
