Shouldn't you go prove me wrong -- why do I have to prove I'm right? I was kind enough to point out several issues to you.

So....anyother factual information out there...???
llcoolpass is completely right, and you are completely wrong. Toyota states that you should start and drive, not idle. Also, driving your car hard will not boil off the gas that gets introduced into your oil. It will just build and build, decreasing the lubricity of the oil. Mainly however, you are just contributing to global warning for your own personal warmth.

interestingly, not for their personal warmth because if it's very very cold out, the engine may still not ever reach operating temperature. This effect decreases directly proportional to the the amount of discomfort goes away. Its a no win situation, unless you have a diesel engine vehicle with an electric heater-- something ive been dieing to see in a car/add to my own

not saying anyone is wrong, just giving my point of vew..... ill be willing to change my habits if someone just shows my some sort of "factual" info other than a personal point of view. especially some factual unbias non-religious, non-global warming POV.

....and lets not forget as defined by dictionary.com a fact is: –noun 1. something that actually exists; reality; truth: Your fears have no basis in fact.
