Default HID on a es300

I drive a 2000 es300 lexus. It doesn't have Hid's on it. I have notice the 2001 Es300's have HIDs on it. I want to know which HIDs does the 2001 have soo I can purchase one and install it into my 2000 ES.

hey subwoofers hows it going, well the 2000 did have an option for HIDS just you don't see it much, my 2000 does have the factory equipped HID option, your best bet is either to buy a new set of 00-01 HIDS or do a retrofit into your current headlights, but whatever you do dont just get an hid kit and wire it up it really causes hell to other drivers on the road you need to have that cutoff line so your not blinding people

I'm in the same boat, I just bought my wife a 2000 ES with no HIDs and being that I have HIDs on my Audi it sucks to drive a car with none. Plus I can't believe how hard it is to find used headlights for this car. I'll keep searching hopefully I'll be able to find some soon.

Interesting. I thought all 2000s and 2001s had HIDS.

Didnt know it was just an option for the 2000. Guess I was lucky

The other option is to retrofit your own. The light output is much better.

Dont go with the Bi-Xenon TL's, just go for the TSX's since you already have a seperate high beam.

Thats the idea I was gonna black out the headlight which would make it so the stock high beam wouldn't work well. Plus it would be a first to have BI-Xenon's on an es. I just have to figure out how i'm going to cut/grind the headlight to make it fit.

i just want something easy to install myself. whats the model # to the optional Hids. I just want the stock HIDs, cause i don't want to spend much. Do i buy just a bulb, or do i have to change the whole fixture?

You will need the whole headlight assemblies.

From the dealer they are $1035.47 each.....
