Question Stock 'heavy duty' battery question

According to Lexus, the ES 330 comes standard with a 'heavy duty' battery which sound's important & is just swell ....except there is no info anywhere on the battery (or the owners manual for that matter) to give specifics. Does anyone know what the CA & CCA is for this battery?

ok, ive said this in a dif thread, so listen as it applies to your 2005 lexus ES350

there are two that fit in there, 35 series and 24f

24f is the bigger badder battery and it fits in there perfectly, while the other one is less powerful and smaller and leaves extra room on the battery skid.

the OEM rating is 582 CCA

the 24f can be had for around 700 to 720 CCA

the 35 for around 640 to 650

get the better one, don't mess around to save 5 or 10 dollars -- my advice

Thanks for the info llcool.....so am I to assume then that the OE battery supplied by Lexus is the 24F?

I just wish they put on some sort of spec sticker on the side of the battery or something.

battery series is what i gave you. you can bring that with you on your way to the parts store. battery series identifies the size and shape of the battery. an "r" at the end means reverse orientation for the terminals [positive and negatitve]. you should be set though with what i gave you. if not, can you explain a little better what you're trying to do or find out?

Cool

Gotcha about the battery series llcool.....I know that the 24F series is the exact 'plug & play' replacement for the ES.

Normally though....a battery has some sort of a 'specification sticker' somewhere on the casing to give you all relevent info that you just provided me (including OE batteries) when replacement time comes. I'm wondering why the OE battery has nothing on it....or it will explain these things in the owners manual...which it doesen't.

I looked under the hood of several other ES 330's & all the batteries were the same with no info.

i have seen a lot of cars and their batteries. you're right. but that's just the way it is. i guess it's a strategy of making the parts look uniformly lexus, rather than obviously being made by say panasonic. you dig?
