I have a 1997 ES300 that is going to be lowered 1.4" - 1.6". The guy said the 225/40ZR18's wouldn't fit and I'd have to get 215/35ZR18's. I would like the larger sidewall and wider tread of the 225/40, but will I have rubbing issues?
Also,
Here's what the rims say (I'm assuming somewhere in all the gibberish after ET the stud diameter is in there, but where I don't know)
18 x 8 ET18/35/38
100 - 120/8,10 - ET 40
18 x 8.0 - ET 40
Does anyone know if I'll need spacers or if these will bolt up with no problems. I'm really looking forward to getting some new shoes on the lex!!!
Thanks guys.
Jason

A lot of guys here including myself run with 225/40/18s. About fitting with spacers or not I'm not sure how to read the specs you gave us other than its an 18*8. What we really need to know at this point is what the offset is?

you don't have any problems with your car being lowered?
