My 93 ES was overheating, replaced radiator, thermostat, hoses etc. Still overheating, so took it to a mechanic for diagnostics. Engine block, cat, and half of exhaust plugged with rust. Basically the engine is shot!

I am looking for a replacement 3VZ-FE engine!!! (I have a loaner car for a few months, so replacing a $500 engine is better than having to buy a new car.)

If anyone can refer me to a reputable distributer of these engines or have a contact, it would be greatly appreciated!

Try Ebay. You can usually find a good low mileage used engine there.

If it was an e250 motor I have a beautiful one with 40k on it but since its not I'll tell you where to look. If you want a used motor at a good price go to car-part.com and look there. If you do that have your repair shop call since some junkyards may not want to ship a motor to a residence.The better option since you have a 93 you are better off doing a jdm swap a lot of members with 92s and 93s have done it.
