95 ES looking to make 00-01 front bumper swap
i got a 95 es and i was happy wit the looks until my neighbor bought a 00 es. anyway im thinkin about possibly making the swap to a 00-01 front end and just wanna get some feedback from anyone who might have done it before i break into his garage while hes on vaca to steal his bumper.

You might wanna take a raincheck on breaking into your neighbor's garage because as far as I know, no one has ever successfully swapped a '00-'01 front bumper into a '92-'96 ES. Totally different design, clip and screw locations, the whole nine yards...

I measured my friend's 97 es front bumper....its like 2 inches wider.
Not ever going to work.
(its funny how many bumper swap threads i've seen in the last year)
Someone should make a oem kit and sell it on CL.

It possible if you got some bodywork skills and some fiberglass.If the bumper is 2in. wider then here is what u need to do.Cut it down the middle and equally cut 1in. off each side.Then fiberglass is back together.Then cut all along the upper half.Then just cut your bumper along the same lines and get them together again.Kinda like what happened here....

thankfully you dont want a skyline bumper from an accord.But anyways is it really worth all the trouble when you can just order this...

im giving up on any major mods to my car. its not really worth it at this point. ill wait a few more years and then upgrade to a new lexus. thanks anyway for the feedback
