Unhappy icon unknown to me

There is an icon right above the "H" for the engine temperature. I have looked in the manual, and it is clearly shown, but not identified - that I could find. It looks like 2 waves w/ a mast on it w/ 3 lines jutting to the right. This may be a totally stupid question, but my husband used to do all our car stuff and he passed away 2 yrs ago. If anyone can help, I would appreciate it!
Thanks,
Gumbyb

that is just the sign that indicates that that is the temperature gauge. I won't light up or nothing.

Hi,

This is the international symbol for 'Temperature'. (it is there to show you that this is your temperature guage)

The symbol represents a thermometer dipped in water or liquid.

Thank you very much! I'm glad it is not a sign of something wrong!

Thanks a bunch! I'm a Nurse and I thought I knew a lot of symbols. My grandson told me it was a sign that my coolant was low! I didn't believe it, but couldn' find any documentation.
