Hello CL community, my name is Jimmy and I am a new owner of a 1997 Lexus ES300. I just bought her on Monday because my Camry's radiator fan motor caught on fire.

I've been lurking around since Saturday checking out DIY stuff (burnt AC light bulbs and the front end clunking) and decided to register and introduce myself.

A little bit about myself.....I'm 29, married and have a 7yr old overly active boy
I work for a Medicaid claims processing company as a claims analyst. I like long walks on the beach and grilling year around I look forward to talking with some of you soon.

Anyway, this thread is worthless without pics

Hey Jimmy! Excellent introduction! ....especially the pics!

Welcome to Club Lexus! Your ES looks very clean. You'll find lots of help in the forums for everything imaginable to do with your ride.

Oh, and BTW, who doesn't love grilling year around....Just have to have the wife hold an umbrella over the BBQ sometimes to keep the snow from hitting the steaks while we're grilling, but hey, that's what they're for, right? (I meant the umbrella)...lol

Hi Jimmy! Welcome to CL. I love this site, I don't say very much. I usually sit back, read and learn. Your bought a wonderful car and there is so much you can do it. I have a newer model and it's frustrating sometimes that I cannot find accessories for her. Your ES looks amazing. Tint the windows, get some wheels, etc, etc.

Cool

to ClubLexus and the ES forum. That is one dapper ES you have there.

Good to have an ES bro on here from the state of Arkansas...we're getting a pretty good mix state-wise on our humble little forum. I spent over 10 glorious years in Howard County there in AR myself.

Congrats on the excellent purchase (I secretly hate you for having the spoiler I want, excellent condition seats, and excellent needles) hehe

Welcome to CL ^.^

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone. I really got lucky with this one as it was a 1 owner vehicle who was single. Everything seems to be working great as far as I can tell except for the normal wear and tear stuff like the suspension rattle and definitely a good clay bar and wax/polish session.

Thanks. As of right now the only mods that I can think of are tints, speakers and possibly HIDs. With the Camry that I traded in... I was constantly looking for things to mod the car to make it look better. This car looks so classy in its stock form that I can barely think of anything else to mod.
