Default 1995 ES300 smoking engine

Burnt oil smell coming from back top of engine, smoke can be seen, sometimes leaks through air vents inside. Oil seems to be draining. What is the remedy?

I would take it to a gargage if there was no clublexus forum. The purpose here to to try and get some quick general help, idea for a solution.

From what I've read, the solution might be to replace the gasket and that can be a DIY.

First things first, You need to identify where the leak is coming from. Valve cover gasket? Cam seals? Headgasket?

most likely is the rear valve cover gasket, it leaks oil to the headers on the back . i had this problem makes smell very bad from the ac vents. i replace the gasket by myself and it took me 5 hours. well i never done this kind job before. my mechanic friend told me he can do this in 1 hour..

Yea sounds like v.c. gaskets more than likely.
my mechanic friend told me he can do this in 1 hour..
...With half the bolts missing. Wish him good luck with the plenum brackets and the egr tubes! There's 1 hour right there if he dosent do them everyday. lol
