Lots of discussion about the dreaded engine mounts. I'm replacing mine within the next few days. However not much said about the strut. Are most of you that replace engine mounts replacing it too? How do you tell if it's bad? (I assume it probably is since it's old too).

strut would start leaking i would suppose. i havent personalyl heard that needed replacing. maybe in 5 more years they will start going bad and everyone will be talking about ??

the front[perspective of car], bottom mount [big round thing, next to the obvious-looking strut-mount] and the top dog bone are usually what need replacing, from what i gather

edit: on ebay, they are being sold together , cheaper that way, so that might be something to try [but who knows the quality]
