Cool

I think this is the reference thread for aftermarket intake fabrication.
Hope it helps.

Intakes are all about creativity. I'm guessing you don't have dual throttle bodies so as long as everything is 3 inches in diameter you're fine. Just head down to your local Autozone and go crazy. Since you don't have a bulky AFM you shouldn't run into any problems. And if there are any extra hoses to attach then cut a barb, drill a hole, and silicone and clamp.

i've done a cold air intake mod on mine using a rmm short ram intake. Here's some pics that might help if you do cold air:

BTW, stock intake is less than 3" in diameter, I believe its 2.75". The reason i mention this is because generic ebay intakes are 3" in diameter and are know to cause stalling out. I'm not sure if ebay intakes don't work soley due to the pipe size but that is a common difference between intakes that do work (2.75" diameter) and don't work (3" diameter). And again this is just from what i've observed. I've made the mistake of buying an ebay intake and ended up trashing it.

This is true, but a 3 inch coupler would and can work. I'm running on one now with no vacuum leaks at all. But you're right, if a 2.75 to 3 adapter is available it's a good idea to get it.
