Thanks,
Sup lexusnb, hahaha yeah I know what you mean. My wife will only tolerate little modifications. The justification for this mod was because the struts were gone and you can hear it knocking so I told her I had to change new struts and a little white lie of requiring new coils too.

I'm running the KYB GR-2 struts and as of right now I have 2 little kids in the back in which their car seats take up the space so no plans on carrying a full load until their old enough to be out of car seats. I'll most likely have a new car b4 that happens.

Just to be more clear for everyone here's exactly what I have including model numbers.

KYb GR-2

334171 Front Left
334133 Rear Right
334134 Rear Left

Tein S-Tech
model SKL16 = 99-03 Solara V6

My car is a 94 ES300

The parts above should fit ES300 92 - 96

Badviper is correct. My ride is 2Gen.

I was thinking that there should be pictures for what folks have so it would make it easier to decide.

Thumbs up

Thanks so much for providing that information, kphu!
It motivated me to update the 2nd gen KYB part numbers (also inspired by Badviper22 ) which I've done.

In the listing, Felony from TN had already given me the Solara Tein S-techs as a possibility, but no one had the part number - you just fixed that for us!

Thanks again, and grats on the upgrade!

Now does this mean that the second and third gen suspension is the same for the most part?

Negativo! I wouldn't feel comfy making that assumption at all.

The Tein S-techs are the only part I've received cross-compatibility confirmation about from either this ES forum or the 3rd gen Camry forum over on TN.

Note that on the KYBs they even have different struts for the 92-94 versus the 95-96. Bizarre.

Now why would this be? There aren't any physical differences, are there?
