Default Freshly Waxed ES ~Pics~

With 220,000 miles, and a bad tranny, i've decided to sell the Lexus
Its just going to cost too much to maintain over the next 8 years of college.
I've decided on a 03 Honda Accord coupe EX v6 with leather....
but i'll always miss the Lexus quality, and design you cannot find in other cars...the frameless windows, the optitron guages, the dual projector set-up...
The car seems to have its own 'classy' look to it, even though its 13 years old.

Someone offered $2500 Cash, but I'm still waiting for some more offers..

So, here are some pics i took to post on auto trader..

Darn........
So I compared the cost of ownership over 4 years with my parents...
ES- $1500 tranny + 1200/year x 4 years insurance + 6700 gas and hope nothing else breaks down = $13000
-> Lexus is xxx
Accord (76kmi) 2000/year x 4 years insurance + 5690 gas + 6000 depreciation =$19690
-> Lexus is xxx
Also considering i didn't get into UCLA, i won't have to drive long-distance home every month
So...if you go to UCSD next year, you'll see a white Lexus ES for the next 4 years

So...after waiting a whole year, the car is getting dropped off on monday to get the tranny rebuilt.

I'm glad you're keeping such a clean ES. Hope the shop doesn't rip you off with the tranny job.

The car's actually going in Next Tuesday during spring break (After a family vacation to San Fran)
Today, i took apart the lower footwell molding and glove box (its really dirty behind there, so i vacuumed that up) to take a look at the air bag cover.
as it turns out, one of the clips is broken, so no way to fix that... A corner is just sticking out like a sore thumb Double sided tape>? A new airbag assembly goes for 300 on ebay

Tommorow, I'm getting rid of the cheap wood dash trim on the radio.
