Proud new owner of a '98 ES300!
Hey everyone!
I'm new to the site, and new to Lexus! Pretty much I'm so overwhelmed with happiness today after buying and driving my 1998 ES300 home! I'd been researching cars for about a year now, trying to save money (I'm a college student) and finally found what I'd been looking for in the first place. I've always wanted the Lexus, and every dealer told me I needed to "broaden my search" after telling them I needed one under $6800 with less than 100k. HA to them!
Found a listing in the paper and visited the car. It was owned by one woman since new, a wealthy, older, very sweet lady!
$6500 for my beautiful black ES with 94k. It's basically in pristine condition and after pining for a Lex for so long, I pretty much did all the research possible and am pretty confident that the car will last a very long time!
Sorry for the super long post, I'm just soo ridiculously happy right now (my first/previous car was a 1996 plymouth breeze with 189k! Talk about a step up!) and needed to share my excitement with others who are just as crazy about the car!!
Hopefully I'll get some pics of me and my new baby up here soon!
xoxo -Steph

to ClubLexus and the ES forum specifically!!! You just made one of the smartest car purchases. There's nothing like cruising down the boulevard with the sunroof open and the windows down in an ES. That experience is even more fun when you know you got a good deal on 'er.
C'mon in, make the Search button your friend and research tool (type in ANYthing you want to know about your ES and I guarantee current and past folks have made informative threads about it) and enjoy the info.

Always great to have new enthusiastic members in Club Lexus!
You're gonna love this ES section; some of the personable, informative, and reliable people. It's all right at your fingertips.

Welcome to CL Steph!! Finally a girl on CL who loves her Lex just as much as I do
You will love your Lex. Keep her clean on the inside and out, and you will feel so good driving her, trust me. There is nothing sweeter and sexier than a well kept Lexus. Enjoy the car and enjoy the forum. The boys here are sweet and helpful.
btw, did you name your car? I named mine Carmen cause of the GPS...kinda like Garmin but a girl's name...hehe.
