Question Fuse Question

so i just got my radar detector for a couple of days now...and the coil is buggin the hell out of me so its time for me to do a hidden direct wire install...and i was going to get the power from the "cd/radio" fuse by splitting it using one of these...http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showd...number=071-580

so my question is if i remove my fuse and put this one on...will my radio reset and lock, or will it just reset my radio...i want to know this before doing it because i dont care if i lose my channels since i can easily program it back...but if it locks its a whole different thing...so yeah what do you guys think...oh also i forgot its the stock system...not aftermarket

Hey cool little gadget...sure beats chopping up wires...what'll they think of next

So, if you don't diconnect your battery terminals, the most you should lose are your station presets. I take it you don't know what the security code is for your OEM radio.

But if you're still hesitant, why not connect up to a different fuse so you don't disturb your radio.

you can buy a power cord for most detectors that isnt a coil. they are easier to tuck into places and keep out of view.

Cool

I pulled that fuse on mine (a few times) and lost only my radio stations (when I hard-wired my Valentine One radar detector).
