Default They hurt my Carmen! Help!

Hi everyone, today started like any Monday. Early rise at 7AM, make coffe for me and the woman, get dressed, leave for work 7:45. Start car, drive to 676 to Ben Franklin Bridge, pay toll, mid-way cross bridge to reach Philadelphia Center City traffic, but here is where everything changes....sitting in traffic dreading another Monday of e-mails, phone calls, surprise meetings...BANG...someone rear ends me and literally knocks the air out my chest...look at what the crazy driver did to my Carmen!

oops, i didn't post the side of the tail light right.

Anyhow, I need help finding parts. I took the car today to two body shops. The insurance already cut me a check, but I want to see if I can keep some of the money to do some extra mods.

So far I need a Rear bumper assembly and a Trunk lid. But the insurance and the shop gave me two very different estimates. The difference is almost 2Gs with the private shop being the higher one. I don't think I need any tail lights or any side panels. Only the bumper and lid was damaged. I know almost the rear side of the car will have to be repainted so everything matches, but I don't think the side panels will have to be replaced.

I also want to know if anyone has a suggestion on body shops in South Jersey.

There is alot more damage than just the bumper and trunk lid. The bumper reinforcement is toast, look under the bumper and you will see, most likely the rear trunk panel is toast, the rear frame rails are probably bent. Lift up the spare tire and see How crinkled the trunk pan is....

Dont mean to make it seem worse, but its not as small as it looks.

I hope your okay, im sure your neck will be quite sore tomorrow or tuesday....

Thnx JSM, I am feeling ok. My neck is sore and slight headache, but I'm ok. If tomorrow I feel worse I'll go to the DR.

So the estimate calls for a rear body panel, a rear body trim panel, both tail lights, rear bumper cover, two rear bumper absorbers (why 2?), rear deck lid, 2 n/plate deck lids, emblem deck lid, and deck lid lock. does that sound about right?

Two absorbers because there is an upper and a lower. Everything else looks legit, but the estimate is missing the rear bumper reinforcement. Also any pull time if the trunk floor is crinkled.

Can you take pics of under the car of the spare tire well?

Wow that is so generous of you! But it's just too far and I want to be able to check up on the car, I'm sure you can understand. I would bring it to you in a heartbeat if I could drive my car to you after seeing what you did on your ES.

I think I need to try another shop who won't try and rip me off because I'm a girl

So let me guess, about a $2700-$2800 repair estimate?
