I need someone to explain how recharge the AC in my 2002 ES. My AC light is blinking and the blower is emitting less-than-cold air. I think the AC needs recharged.

Also, any recommendations regarding what refrigerant I sould use?

Same thing happened with the 03...
I replaced the a/c cabin filter (behind the glove box) and it works like normal..

Thanks for the advice...The AC coolant was down, so I added more, plus changed a very dirty cabin air filter and the AC now works well! Only around $40 to do this myself. I know it would've been $200 at the Lexus dealership.
