Can anyone give me some info on what these 2 codes mean. I just bought a 2000 es300 and they were on the scanner when the mechanic checked the car. Thanks Sumo

Here are your possibilities (both are related to the evaporative emission control system):
1. Gas cap (either not on tight or a bad cap)- this is the usual suspect
2. Charcoal canister (usually the case, when it is not the gas cap, have had to see a few of these replaced on this engine group, 1MZFE)
3. Hose over fuel tank cracked, damaged, etc. (third mostly likely suspect)
4. Vapor pressure sensor (could be a short circuit, detected condition (means something was amiss for a second)
5. Vacuum hose damaged (check the airbox and just about every other hose that goes around the top of the engine)
In some cases with these codes you can have noticeably poor idle.
