okay to use 205/65/16 on my 2000 ES300?
I know the stock tires on the car are supposed to be 205/60/16 per tirerack.com. I have a platinum edition though and I'm not sure if the specs are different. I ordered some Michelin Primacy MXV4 and stuck w/ the tire size currently on the car - 205/65/16. Seems like the wheel well has plenty of room w/ the current tire size on there and the 65's were a bit cheaper so I went with them. My wife drives the car and is far from a driving enthusiast, so the "taller" tire won't matter at all to her as she doesn't even come close to testing the cornering limits of this car.
Keep in mind I usually keep my cars stock and do not vary in terms of tire width, wheel size, etc.
Is this okay, to continue to use a 65-sized tire vs. a 60?
Thanks
F
