Default First time Lexus buyer question.

I just started looking at the 2006 es330 and wanted to know if the 2006 has any know issues. I've never owned a Lexus and I'm just trying to get my ducks in a row. I just found this site and there seems to be alot of helpful and knowledgeable Lexus owners. Any opinions about this car would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Everyone seems to ***** about the trannys never wanting to give up the overdrives. I've ridden in one with the new flash for the tranny and it was much more annoying then the slight lag in my 97'. Don't get me wrong though I would still buy the car in a minute.

Thanks,
Welcome to CL. It is a great forum filled with many knowledgeable people at the touch of your keyboard. I have an 05 es330 myself and I love the car. But in all honesty it really depends on what type of personality you have and what type of driver you are. IF you are looking for a sports sedan, the ES is not your car. If you are looking for a smooth comfortable ride and easy going driving than the ES is for you. I mean it's a Lexus so it will go fast so don't under estimate the ES. Lexus/Toyota has a strong reputation for quality and reliability so you made a good choice, but not all cars are perfect. I say test drive, test drive and test drive. Test drive every Lexus model and enjoy...lol.

J - you are breaking my heart. Don't sell her, she's too pretty for you to do that.

Welcome camogr! I too own a 2005 ES.....and LexGrl pretty much summed things up in a nutshell.

My best advise is make sure you get one with all service history accounted for & pass on the extended warranty.

In addition to this site, another good source of info is www.lexusownersclub.com

Good luck!
