Knock sensor/mystery wire question
I was getting to replace a bad No. 1 Knock sensor when I noticed a wire leading from the sensor and it's not connected to nothing. Someone (previous owner perhaps) obviously disconnected this wire, as there was some duct tape covering the end connector. Does this lead to the other knock sensor?? I'm getting ready to go underneath and check, but just thought I would throw it out there to the knowledge base. Here's a pic of the connector leading from knock sensor No.1. Thanks!!
Just added!!! Apparently the wire is leading from the oil pressure switch (my bad). The wire leads to the oil pan connector. I plugged it in to see what would happen and the freakin' oil light came on even though my oil level is fine. Any clues as to why it came on?? Also, does anyone have a pic of where the No.1 knock sensor is located. Thanks once again.

The oil pressure and oil level sensors are two different things. The level sensor should be on, or just above the oil pan. The pressure switch is near the top of the block screwed into the oil galley.
