I've noticed for a long time now that during hot weather the doors on my ES get kinda noisy (like a groan sound in the hinge) when I open them. As soon as the temperature cools off tho, the groaning goes away. I've tried some WD-40 and that helps a bit but a few days later the sound is usually back again. It's not a major annoyance but has any1 else noticed this noise, and if so, do you just live with it or did you find a solution for it?

 

I use white lithium grease for the hinges and etc. and its fine. WD-40 might be too thin for that application. My trunk lid starts to make noise before the doors do. But when its hot outside, my doors (esp the rears) like to stick closed a little bit, even though they are worked a lot. Also when the heat makes everything expand, the r.f. door panel rattles against the dash while driving once in a while. I guess its one of those things about having an older car, and im not too worried about it.

 

My rear doors squeak right now. They did not do that in the winter months.

It is kinda annoying.
