Default Hardwiring an amp, siruis and radar DIY

So did this the night before Carlisle and have been meaning to post up how I did this so here it goes.
1. Remove your radio by moving the shift **** to neutral, removing the plastic piece below the climate control and the vents about the radio. Then there is just 4 10mm sockets that need to come off.

Radio with vents and plastic piece off

Top screws

Bottom screws

2. Find the clocks wires and cut the pink and white one. The pink is the power and the white is the ground I believe. Now just splice your new lead onto it.

3. Run it where ever you want power that turns off with the key. I used mine to power my radar, sirius and rem switch for my subs.

Okay so the clock wires that are right behind where the vents are? If they are there why do I have to remove the radio?
