I had an interesting experience this morning. This is the reason that you should not drive fast and why you should buy good tires... I actually thought I ran something over on my front wheel but this happened driver side rear. It was certainly more dramatic than I expected.
The car is ok btw except for a screw holding on the inner bottom fenderwell
Certainly could have been worse

wow.... if those are OEM rims.. you should walk them into the dealership.. ask then... what would cause this... regardless of how old your rim is... it shoudnt do that...... did you hit a really big bolt or nail? enough to puncture through the tire to hit the rim with enough force to bust the rim?
