Hey guys, so I have an '02 ES 300 and my key just kinda broke after many years or working, the plastic case that is. I ordered a new key online, but since it's not OEM, (they were asking $260) I need to get it cut. Where do I get these keys cut besides the dealer? I can program the transponder myself...just need the key cut. The dealer offered the plastic casing but JUST for the stupid plastic case, they were asking $100!!!!

Call around to locksmiths. I had one cut awhile back and he charged me $25 each. Call around because only a few locksmiths can cut a Lexus key.

I ordered a set of two off of ebay ($15 each)
and had them cut by a locksmith for free

my locksmith charged me 10 bucks per key including the blanks when i needed them cut for my SC...too bad youre in texas. otherwise i would help you out.

go to the dealer and get a new key shell. they sell these for $65. i called lexus and complained and got them to give me this for free.
