Timing belt / water pump on 97 ES300
#16
Okay, here is an add on question.
I just bought my second 97 es300 both are white over silver/gold.
It'll drive the neighbors crazy!
Here's the deal,, these both had 176K on them when I got them and they both had the t-belt at 90K that would make them due again at 180.
I have inspected the belt on my first one that now has 210K on it and the belt shows no signs of wear or cracking.
My question is this: has anyone seen how long these will actually go?
The 1MZ is not an interference fit engine so if it does break the engine just quits with no valve/piston damage.
If you guys would be willing to pay for the tow, I'll run it till it breaks.
Lex
PS: got em both in Orlando one for $3800 two years ago and the new one last week for $2800. they are both near mint condition except for the miles.
