2ES/Manual owners...What Tranny fluid do you use? Do you use a tranny cooler?
Hey everyone. Well I've hinted I was going to fix up the ole ES and well, I'll have a thread with before/after pics soon. The car still cranks up and drives good even as it is now over 16 years old!!
My question is about tranny fluid for my 1992 ES 300? It hasn't been flushed in a long time and I have some quarts of Amsol. Amsol is regarded as some of the best tranny fluid you should buy.
So does anyone else use it in their ES? It has near 250k on the odometer, its on its 2nd tranny (it was my fault the 1st one blew).
Also should I buy a tranny cooler for it? This car will never see the track, just a DD.
Thanks!

im slightly confused about your situation, are you in a 96 or a 2001 with 5spd???
anyway, the e53 trans [in my car, i assume yours too] has a little pipe that already is the cooler and there is a hydraulic pump inside the trans that does it's thing. i dont see how your trans could overheat. it's just not likely, it's already bullit proof.
