congrats tuan! I had a hard time finding my emblems too a few months ago. It appears that Lexus has discontinued the black pearl emblems. I know you can special order whatever kits they have left at the dealer, but it'll cost you $250 bucks. The dealer in Cherry Hill, NJ said that Lexus doesn't want to deal with the black pearl anymore because it's more expensive to make them and they don't last as long as the chrome emblems. not sure if that is really tru tho.

I wouldn't be surprised if it's true. Nothing wears as well as the chrome emblems. Mine are 15 years old and still look like new. I'm also not surprised that they haven't discontinued the "gold" emblems since they too don't wear very well. I don't know what is used to make them that color but in my experience, they only look nice for a few years before they start to look all tarnished and tacky.

Opening the box.....

OOO... -My Preciousss...- lol

Front Lexus emblem.

I think I'll hold off on putting the front emblem on, since the 'black pearl' in the front still looks pretty good.

Yeah, I saw that. I think I'll pass on it until I can find the whole set like you did since I only need a spare set to put on my car while the ones I have are going to be sent to be wrapped in CF. Currently bidding on a silver set haha. Hoping that all the pieces will be sub $20 when if I win it

So... I finally installed the emblems on the rear trunk lid.
I used a hair dryer (softens the adhesive)
Fishing line, and turtle wax bug and tar remover.
Debadged. I kinda like the clean, uncluttered look, but there are holes in the trunk lid, so I'll pass...

After. The 97-99 L logo has different hole locations, so i had to modify the rear of the emblem.

Compare to the diy front L emblem..
(Just washed and waxed... as usual)
