I had a local shop do mine. Factory quality, 500 per front seat, and 500 for the back. If you aren't willing to break the bank; one of our trusty members, tuan, just recently did a DIY on installing some new leather. Go to search and type in Leather seats and it should come up, and it packed with useful information if you want to do it yourself.

I did it my self, over three weekends for free

All you need is a factory service manual (available on line), hog rings, hog ring clamps, and socket wrench.
DIY on another thread...

I'm a perfectionist, and I have very high expectations for everything, and so give me a 13 year old car, I'd try to make it 'new' even though its not
The seat covers are a great upgrade over 13 year old, cracking/ ripped leather. The quality just wasn't there, from the hide quality to the cover fitment.
I recommend paying the extra $$ for leatherseats.com kits next time around as long as you can do a DIY install, then its still a great deal.
Still, i can't justify spending more $ than the car is actually worth, when it has 220XXX miles, and 4 years left until i get out of college.

I have the same problem. I am trying as hard as I can to just leave the $2500 93 Lexus alone and drive it. New seats are nice though. I might just try a junk yard.

To the original poster, try www.car-parts.com . Make sure you only look in your area, and try to find a set of 1996 seats. They will be in the best condition and you can probably still find a deal on them.

They do.....for a month.
You are basically painting (acrylic) your leather seat, and after that it will wear down, and things will look ugly from there.
Take hard, cracked leather, and add a layer of paint "dye" on top, and start flexing it....you'll end up with a layer of cracked paint on top too, not to mention you cannot clean and condition the leather as before b/c you are sealing the leather up with paint. Also, some cleaners will strip the paint off too.
I've tried it....twice, and I won't recommend it to anyone (other than very small repairs)

This is the second time around....

In a couple months, it started looking like the before pic again X_X
