Default Need Help

ok my cv boots are ripped and im gonna replace the whole axle. i was stopping at a stop light and my front end made a clunking noise and my abs light is on? than when i turn my steering wheel locks up for a sec or two like my power steering goes in and out and when i turn one of my belts squeaks when my engine is first started up.

The abs ring is part of the axle, so either that broke or it smashed the sensor, causing your abs light to come on. Check the condition of your p/s pump belt and make sure its tight. Thats a separate issue than the abs problem. Im pretty sure weve said that on numerous occasions.

how do you check the p/s pump? im gonna replace the axle soon im seeing if my friend is capable to do it. now when i replace the axle is the abs light gonna be on still?

Check the belt for cracks and see if its tight.

It depends if a sensor or wiring is damaged or not.

i changed my axles finally.... took forever to do one of the sides , wasnt as easy as a honda civic... lol
but my power steering pump had fluid all over it, im gonna have someone check it out if its the pump or something is leaking because i have no power steering and i think i tightened something too tight my steering wheel makes a noise when i turn
