Default Paint not looking so good

I recently noticed my roof on the ES has started to have a faded looking spot next to the moonroof about 3"-4" long . My car is out in the Hot steamy sun by the ocean most of the time. I know this paint flaw is gonna bug me. With keeping cost down anyone have any thoughts or recommendations?

Since its its pearl paint you would have to respray the roof from the bottom of the windshield and up for it to blend right your looking about 600-1000 to do it right.

Is there anyway to stop it from getting larger without repainting?

Is your clearcoat failing? Can you see flakes or pits? If so, your clear is failing and needs to be re-sprayed.

If not, you probably just have some oxidation. Some heavy polish or compound should take care of it. Make sure you protect it with a sealant or wax after that.

If you're unsure what to do, either take it to a reputable detailer for a quote, or post up some pics and I'll try to help.

Look into some spray on Paint Protectors. Check out one of the subforums for more information on it.
