96 ES300 Spark Plug Wire Routing Question
Hi all, I'm looking for a little help from you 96 ES300 owners. My 96 ES300 is nearing 200k miles, and I just had a tune up where the spark plugs and wires were replaced (not by myself). When I look at the spark wires, it looked a lot messier than original, with a lot more slack showing. I asked the mechanic and he said that the aftermarket wires are not custom made to the exact lengths, thus the extra slack. That explanation made sense... but now on second thought, I'm wondering whether he had routed the wires properly from the front Spark Plug to its corresponding rear plug? The car actually starts up fine and runs smoothly, but I still have to wonder...
In my poor attempt at a diagram below, my mechanic has cylinder "D" connected to "C", "E connected to ""A", and "F" connected to ""B"
passenger driver
A B C
D E F
front of car
I have not been able to find a reference that shows the proper spark plug wire connections between the cylinders, so I'm wondering if some of you 96 ES300 owners can trace the connections of your Spark Plug wires and let me know if I'm worried for nothing? Thanks a bunch!

Listen to your mechanic, yes I have found that generic wire sets do not fit as well as the OEM. That is the price you will pay for the money you save. If he had mis-wired your plugs there would be no doubt in your mind. The car would not run well because at least two cylinders would be mis-firing. There would be no doubt in your mind that there was a problem, besides it would also set the check engine light.
